Emmanuel Syrmoudis

Emmanuel Syrmoudis is a PhD student at the Chair of Cyber Trust.

Together with partners from LMU Munich and Uni Passau, Emmanuel was part of the project Awareness, Motivation and Implementation of Data Portability (amiDaPo) at the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt).

His current work focuses on the effects of privacy regulation, especially the GDPR's Right to Data Portability, on online services. He is interested in both the technical challenges that come with data portability and its economic effects.

Emmanuel holds degrees in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and Economics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
