This thesis explores formulating and implementing a Large Eddy Simulation Turbulence model - Smagorinsky- in a commercial CFD solver. Smagorinsky is one of the simpler models used to test and validate a turbulence model. Two test cases (The Taylor-Green Vortex and Poiseuille flow) were considered, showcasing the validity of the model in the presence and absence of a boundary wall. Post-processing tools were also implemented to check the quality of results and compare what they do to the system.
