TUM Chair of Software Engineering & AI Welcomes New Postdoctoral Researchers

The Chair of Software Engineering & AI expands its research capabilities with two accomplished postdoctoral researchers, Dr. Mark Huasong Meng and Yanqi Su, bringing expertise in cybersecurity, AI, and software testing.

We are delighted to welcome two exceptional postdoctoral researchers to our team at the Technical University of Munich's Chair of Software Engineering & AI in Heilbronn. Dr. Mark Huasong Meng and Dr. Yanqi Su join us with impressive backgrounds in different areas of computer science and software engineering.

Dr. Mark Huasong Meng comes to us from the National University of Singapore, where he recently completed his PhD in Computer Science. With a rich background in both industry and research, Mark brings valuable expertise in cyber-security, software engineering, and trustworthy AI/ML. His diverse experience includes roles at prestigious organizations such as A*STAR, NCS, and Gemalto, where he contributed to various projects ranging from CAD software development to mobile banking solutions.

Yanqi Su joins us with a soon-to-be-completed doctorate from The Australian National University, following her education at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Her groundbreaking research in Exploratory Testing has led to the discovery of approximately 300 bugs in major software applications, including Firefox. Her work, which has been published in top-tier Software Engineering conferences and journals, earned her the Distinguished Paper Award at ASE 2021.

Both researchers will be working under the supervision of Prof. Chunyang Chen at our Heilbronn campus, contributing to our department's research initiatives in software engineering and artificial intelligence. Their addition to our team strengthens our research capabilities and aligns perfectly with our mission to advance the fields of software engineering and AI.

We look forward to the innovative research and valuable contributions Dr. Meng and Mrs. Su will bring to our chair and the broader TUM community.
