Developing a Sustainability Ontology for Process Mining
Thesis (BA/MA)
Advisor(s): Nathalie Wolf
Motivation
Process mining offers the potential for improving sustainability in various business processes using data. While there exists a massive amount of data, identifying and understanding relevant data across different information systems and complex data models is difficult. To address this issue, ontologies can be used to formalize a shared understanding and facilitate data integration.
Research Objectives
- Development of an extended sustainability ontology focusing on the business process perspective
- Review, compare, and merge existing sustainability ontologies
Tasks
- Literature Review on ontology-based preprocessing for process mining
