Bio

René Schwermer received his B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the RWTH, Aachen in 2014, and his M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2017. After writing his Master Thesis at the former European research center of General Electric, he gained more profound insight into energy systems focusing on heat at the Bavarian Center of Applied Energy Research. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. working on federated machine learning. His research interests include various topics in energy informatics, distributed systems, and machine learning for energy systems.
