Bio

Jan Adler is a Ph.D. candidate at Technische Universität München and a member of the Distributed Systems group. He received his M.Sc. (2014) in Informatics from the Technische Universität München. He also holds a B.Sc. (2010) in Informatics from the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Before starting his Ph.D., he founded the software company Betterbits GmbH & Co. KG together with two colleagues and worked there as a CEO. His research interests include large scale internet services and Big Data infrastructures, e.g., Bigtable, HBase, Cassandra, Dynamo or PNUTS.
