CONVIDE Winter Colloquium 2024
On 12 December 2024, the Collaborative Research Center 1608: Consistency in the View-Based Development of Cyber-Physical Systems held its annual Winter Colloquium at the InformatiKOM building at KIT.
The event provided Convide researchers with a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore the latest developments in their projects. During the research area presentations and poster sessions, all Convide projects highlighted their progress over the past year and the challenges they are working to overcome. This exchange allowed the entire CRC, now with over fifty researchers and seventeen Principal Investigators, to stay up to date and sparked discussions on how individual expertise could be leveraged for new cross-project collaborations.
In addition to these presentations, two invited talks provided deep insights into critical topics. The first, by Antonio Cicchetti (Mälardalen University), explored how industrial contexts influence the choice of consistency management levels, ranging from fully automated to partially automated approaches. The second talk, delivered by Gabor Karsai (Vanderbilt University), reviewed key challenges in modeling physical systems, computations, communication, and platforms, while highlighting recent advances and tools developed by his team to address these issues.
