Student assistant (m/f/d) at KrcmarLab in the field of artificial intelligence in the public sector

We are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) at KrcmarLab in the field of artificial intelligence in the public sector starting October 1, 2024.

KrcmarLab engages in a wide range of research and practical project work on "IT for matters that matter" in the fields of information systems and service management as well as research on the digitalization of business processes, business model innovations and value creation through technology in the private and public sector, citizen participation, and AI introduction into organizations. Current projects include the yearly eGovernment MONITOR study, which analyses the use and acceptance of digital administrative services from the citizen's perspective, and the contribution to the AI Campus with the creation of educational offerings on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI).

Tasks

  • Conduct literature research on current topics in the field of public administration, eGovernment/GovTech, and AI
  • Familiarization with scientific research methods in the field of information systems
  • Development of proposals for the further development of research questions and methods
  • Support of the management and organization of scientific resources and publications
  • Creation of materials to support students in their final theses
  • Conduct various other administrative activities to support academic work

Requirements

  • Enrolment at a German University
  • High degree of independence and personal responsibility
  • Excellent grades: Bachelor < 2.5 / Master < 2.0
  • Interest in research on information systems and AI, digital transformation, and change management in the public sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in scientific work is very welcome
  • Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
