Research Interests
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. That's why Stephen Kobourov works on both theoretical and practical aspects of algorithms: from the design, analysis and implementation of efficient algorithms, to applications in information visualization, computational geometry and graph drawing. Prof. Kobourov is the author of more than 250 publications and his work is well funded through research grants, including multiple grants from the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
